Accessing your Android device’s storage from any computer on you home network

A great way to access and upload media / files to and from your phone is using an application called WebSharing Lite. Start by installing the application from here.

Once installed, connect your device you your home network and then run the application. It should prompt you to visit an internal IP address from your computer, something like 192:168.1.1:2112.

When you access that IP address from your computer, it will prompt for a password, enter the one that’s showing on your device. This will give you access to your phone storage to either upload or download files directly from your computer, handy if you need to upload your (legal) music / movie downloads for your early morning train trips.

Note : If you want to upload / download more than one file at once, you’ll need to pay a small fee for the pro version.
